Many people look for dupes when they want a scent in the style of a well-known perfume at a lower price. Our perfumes are original compositions, developed and made at our place in Borås. They are not copies or imitations. To make it easier to find the right one, we describe the scent profile, and for some scents we state which well-known perfume the profile is reminiscent of.

It's a way of describing how a scent is built, in the same way you describe a wine by its grape or region. If you have a favourite perfume, it becomes easier to find one of our scents with a similar profile. The names are used only to describe the scent.

No. Amara Odores is an independent Swedish brand. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the brands whose perfumes are mentioned on the site.

No, our scents are original compositions and smell like themselves. The scent profile may be reminiscent of a well-known perfume, but the experience differs and is also affected by your skin. Read the scent notes and reviews on each product to see if a scent suits you.

You pay for the scent, not for a big brand. We spend nothing on celebrity advertising, expensive shop locations or luxury packaging. That's why we can sell extrait de parfum with 30% perfume oil for 399 kr.

Extrait de parfum is the strongest concentration of perfume. Our scents contain 30% perfume oil, compared with around 15–20% in an eau de parfum and 5–15% in an eau de toilette. A higher concentration gives a fuller scent that lasts longer.

Take our perfume guide and we'll suggest scents based on your answers. Each product lists its top, heart and base notes, and many scents also describe their scent profile.

With 30% perfume oil our scents last well, and most stay on for a large part of the day. How long depends on the scent, your skin type and where you spray. Dry skin holds scent less well, so an unscented cream before spraying helps.

No, our perfumes shouldn't stain. But as with any perfume with a high oil content, we advise against spraying directly on or near light-coloured clothes, silk or other delicate fabrics. Spray on your skin instead and let it dry before you get dressed.

Spray on your pulse points, where the skin is warm: the neck, behind the ears, the wrists and the inside of the elbows. Don't rub your wrists together, as that breaks down the top notes faster. Two to four sprays is usually enough with an extrait.

Start with two to four sprays. Extrait de parfum is concentrated, so you need less than with a regular eau de toilette. The scent develops through the day from the top notes to the heart and base notes.

Keep the bottle cool, dark and with the cap on, ideally in a drawer or cupboard. Avoid sunlight, heat and moisture, such as a windowsill or the bathroom. Stored correctly, a perfume lasts for several years.

Perfumes contain fragrance substances that can cause reactions in sensitive people. The ingredients are listed on each product, and our ingredient list has been reviewed by a Swedish company specialising in quality control of cosmetics. If you're unsure, test a small amount on the inside of your arm and wait a day before using it as normal.

Yes. All our scents are vegan and cruelty free. No animal testing and no animal-derived ingredients.

All our perfumes are handmade at our place in Borås. We blend, fill and bottle every scent by hand, which gives us full control over quality, means we follow approved safety standards and lets us deliver quickly.

Yes. Our ingredient list has been reviewed by a Swedish company specialising in quality control of cosmetics, so you can feel confident about what's in the bottle. You'll find the full ingredient list on each product.

Each bottle contains 50 ml of extrait de parfum with 30% perfume oil.

We divide the range into men's and women's scents to make it easier to browse, but scent is personal. Many of our scents work for everyone, so choose the one you think smells best.

We ship from Sweden. Orders are normally processed within one working day, and delivery normally takes 2–5 working days. We ship with PostNord and DHL. During holidays and campaigns it can take a little longer.

The shipping cost is shown clearly at checkout before you complete your purchase and depends on the delivery method you choose.

Yes. Once your order has shipped, you'll get an email confirmation with tracking information.

Yes, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from when you receive your order. Contact us at info@amaraodores.se before sending anything back. You may test the scent with 1 spray, and the perfume must be returned in its original packaging. For an approved return, a 90 kr return fee is deducted from the refund, and the original shipping cost is not refunded. The refund is made to the payment method you used. Exchanges are free, but you pay for return shipping. Read more in our refund policy.

Contact us at info@amaraodores.se, ideally with a photo of the damage, within 14 days of delivery. We'll send a new product free of charge. If the parcel is lost on the way, we'll send a new one at no extra cost.

You pay securely at checkout with the most common card and payment methods through our secure checkout. The available options are shown at checkout.

Build your trio is our offer where you choose any three scents from the range for 899 kr instead of 1,197 kr. You save 298 kr, and it's a perfect way to find new favourites or to give as a gift.

Yes. We have digital gift cards of 449, 849 and 1,249 kr, or an amount of your choice. The gift card can be sent straight to the recipient, who then chooses their own scent.
